Am I Still, Do I Wait?

Tell me Lord,

Do I stay in Your Presence long enough

To hear what You have to say?

Do I start out with a list of my concerns

And not listen to Yours?

Do I feel good because I’ve said my prayer,

I’ve given You thanks,

I think I’ve done

what my faith asks of me to do?

Do I rush off with my list of things to do

Instead of Yours?

Lord, Am I still, do I wait for You?

Am I Worth It?

Lord,

I see how much You love us.

I know You sacrificed everything for us.

But are we worth it?

Am I worth it?

My beloved child,

Though I created the sun, moon, and stars,

Animals, plants, and humans, too,

You are the sparkle in My eye.

When I consider the valleys we crossed,

The mountains we climbed,

I rejoice because you turn to Me.

I love you more than the sun,

The moon, and the stars.

You are My beloved child.

I walked the earth for you.

I died for you.

I walk with you now.

You are in my heart.

Amen.

Jesus, Please Surround Me

In front of me and behind,

To my right and to my left,

Jesus, won't You please surround me.

On the good days and the bad,

In my joys and in my sorrows,

In good health and in illness,

Jesus, please wrap Your arms around me.

When I'm angry and refuse to listen,

When I am stubborn and go my own way,

Jesus, please don't give up and walk away from me.

Lord, call out my name,

I will always return to You.

When I am full of doubt and pain,

When I am too tired to carry on,

Jesus, please wrap your love around me.

When my heart is in need of healing,

Fractured into a million pieces,

Jesus, please hold me close and surround me.

Highs and Lows

Life has many ups and downs,

Highs and lows,

Joys and regrets.

There will be good years and tearful years,

Good times and hard times,

Choices taken and mistakes made.

There is One who remains true,

And He will reach down to rescue you.

When you are weak,

He will give you strength.

When you are in pain,

He will hold you close.

He will bring healing to your broken heart.

When you are afraid,

He will give you peace.

When you are in the rain,

He will give you shelter.

When you feel like giving up,

He will breathe new life into your soul.

When you think all hope is gone,

He will give you hope and a future.

Jesus will be by your side forever.

You are Here Loving Me

Lord, You are with me,

In the good times and in the bad.

You dance with me on mountain tops,

And hold me close when I am in the valleys.

When I cry out to You in the storm,

You come and give me shelter.

When troubles pull me out to sea, 

You reach down and lift me up

So I can walk with You.

When I am worried,

You comfort me

And fill my soul with peace.

Even when I turn away,

You still come after me.

You give me strength to climb high,

And carry me when I am weak.

Though I don't always feel You near,

My heart tells me You are here.

Though I know I don't deserve it,

You are here still loving me.
